Interior and UV Protection
Carbon and ceramic window films block up to 99% of harmful UV rays, helping protect passengers while reducing long-term fading of seats, dashboards, and trim.
Year-Round Glare Control
Automotive window tint softens harsh summer sunlight and bright winter glare reflecting off snow, making everyday Minnesota driving more comfortable.
Privacy and Vehicle Style
Darker window film makes the cabin and personal items less visible from outside while giving your vehicle a clean, professionally finished appearance.

How Much Does Car Window Tinting Cost in Minneapolis?
At Blomker Detailing & Tint, front two window tint starts at $94.99 for carbon film or $129.99 for ceramic. Whole car tint starts at $279.99 for carbon or $349.99 for ceramic and includes all side windows, quarter glass, and the rear windshield. The front windshield is separate. Can You Match My Front Windows to Factory Rear Tint?
We can help you compare a front-window film with your vehicle's factory rear privacy glass. We look at the glass, your preferred appearance, and the requirements for your vehicle before recommending coverage. Factory privacy glass and aftermarket film are different, so an exact color or darkness match is not guaranteed. Carbon and ceramic film can have a similar appearance; choose ceramic when heat rejection is a priority. View front two window tint coverage or ask about your car, truck, or SUV.
What Is the Difference Between Carbon and Ceramic Window Tint?
Both films give your windows a refined, darker look and help block UV rays. Ceramic tint is the better choice if reducing heat is your priority; carbon tint offers a clean appearance at a lower price. We can help you compare the two for your vehicle.
How Dark Can I Tint My Windows in Minnesota?
Minnesota generally requires side and rear windows to transmit at least 50% of visible light. Some vehicle and medical exceptions apply, and windshield film that reduces light transmission is restricted. The final reading depends on both the glass and the film, so ask us about your vehicle before choosing a shade.
Does Ceramic Tint Have to Be Dark to Reduce Heat?
No. Heat rejection depends on the film technology, not just how dark it looks. A lighter ceramic film can reduce more heat than a darker basic film. We can help you choose a shade that balances comfort, visibility, and your preferred look.
What Is Included in a Whole Car Window Tint Package?
Our whole car package covers the side windows and rear windshield. The front windshield and visor strip are separate options. If your vehicle has factory privacy glass, we can discuss a film that adds heat rejection while keeping the appearance you want.
How Long Does Window Tint Take to Cure?
Film can look slightly hazy or show small moisture pockets while it dries. Cure time varies with the weather, film, and vehicle; Minnesota’s colder months can take longer. We’ll explain what is normal for your installation and when to contact us about a concern.
How Should I Care for Newly Tinted Windows?
Follow the aftercare instructions we give you at pickup. Keep the tinted windows rolled up for the recommended period, avoid cleaning the film while it cures, and use a soft cloth and film-safe cleaner after it has dried.
Minnesota Window Tint Law
What Tint Is Legal in Minnesota?
A quick guide to Minnesota Statutes § 169.71 and what it means for your vehicle.
What the Statute Says
Minnesota Statutes § 169.71, Subd. 4
“has a light transmittance of less than 50 percent plus or minus three percent in the visible light range”
Exact excerpt from subdivision 4(3). Read the complete wording and exceptions on the official state website.
Read the Full StatuteWhat It Means for You
- Side & Rear Windows On a typical passenger vehicle, the finished window generally needs at least 50% visible light transmission.
- Windshield The law generally prohibits treatments that reduce light transmission or make the windshield more reflective.
- Reflective Film Mirrored or highly reflective treatments are prohibited. The statute also limits luminous reflectance.
- Exceptions Specific original glass, vehicle windows, and qualifying medical needs may be treated differently under the statute.
Tint is measured through the finished window, including the glass. The statute's measurement tolerance is not a darker tint option. Refer to the official law for the exact requirements.
